• Steel hammer strikes can be used on the MUTT. but a dead blow hammer or plastic tip is always preferred as the tool will never show signs of wear.
• Metal hammer strikes should be done on the back side where the lanyard hole is. 
• Any chisel or prybar will eventually show signs of wear from being hit so many times by a steel hammer. 
• The MUTT will require very little if any maintenance to keep the bevels in perfect condition.

The tool was made to handle 4 key tasks.... Dig, Split, Pry and Hammer. Our tools are manufactured and designed with two different working edges. The primary pry tip edge has a thicker bevel to better hold up to gouging, chiseling, digging and prying. The secondary side edge has a finer bevel to help separate material when batoning wood or scraping tasks.

-Digging holes for metal detection, EOD use and fire pits.

-Splitting wood to make a fire or shelter.

-Prying roots, opening wooden crates.

-Hammering in tent stakes.

 The Paracord handle provides plenty of grip and can easily be replaced. Simply rewrap the handle if it were to ever wear out.
